takoda + Lucas Winter

Our next show is a double header: two world class guitarists with wildly original voices on the instrument. Minaret artist Takoda and his trio will be headlining the night, with compositions featuring his masterful utilization of the vocoder to rip through original music combining the sleekest elements of contemporary jazz, hip-hop, and electronic fusion. Local killers Dylan Hayes and Cedar Lange will be accompanying on electric keys and drums.

Opening the night, we have hometown hero Lucas Winter, celebrating the release of his debut album, “Lo,” on Heartcore Records. Lucas will be showcasing his otherworldly technical prowess on the instrument, featuring a selection of his original compositions that push the boundaries of avant-garde jazz while remaining highly accessible to any lucky listener.

This much guitar virtuosity is almost too much to contain in one night, but we’re prepared to supply the goods.
